The following predictions are made with no inside knowledge as to what the finishes will be. They are predictions made based on what TNA has done and what I think they will do.
AJ Styles Vs Bobby Roode in a 30 Min Ironman Match for the TNA Championship: This could without a doubt be match of the night. I like the fact that TNA decided to make it a 30 minute match instead of 60 as those usually tend to overstay their welcome and don’t get exciting in till halfway through. AJ Styles is the strong face of the company and Roode is so much better as a heel and is proving why he deserves to be a World Champ. Last month these two put on a great match and I expect more of the same. In the end expect Roode to pick up the win and hopefully he does it by a strong finisher instead of a cowardly rollup.
Prediction: Bobby Roode pins AJ Styles and keeps the TNA Title.
Jeff Hardy Vs Jeff Jarrett in a Cage Match: Normally I would say this match decides who wins the Main Event but I really have no doubts that Roode is going to win just like I assume Jeff Hardy will win here. Both should put on a decent match and the cage will help keep things exciting. You should also expect at least one big bump, likely a Swanton from the top of the cage. The thing that bugs me is how quickly Jeff Hardy has climbed the ladder. I compare him to Michael Vick, not because Jeff Hardy is an animal killer or should be compared to one. But because TNA is trying to make him a person reborn, much like Vick. But Vick didn’t win the Super Bowl and didn’t get respect overnight. Jeff Hardy should have started at the very bottom, working lower to mid card matches and eventually worked his way up. Sadly TNA doesn’t see it that way and that’s why Hardy will win.
Prediction: Jeff Hardy wins and becomes the #1 Contender.
James Storm Vs Kurt Angle: James Storm gives me so many mixed emotions. First of all the tag team division is a wreck which I will explain later. Part of the problem is Motor City being injured and Beer Money being separated. But as much as it hurts to see the tag division the way it is, I will gladly take it over both Storm and Roode being two of the top people in the company. Storm looks good on the microphone and has the look that the fans can respect. Facing Kurt Angle will also make him look much stronger even if he loses which I’m not sure if he will. The question for Kurt Angle is, where does he go after this? It’s that question that leads me to believing this feud will continue a little longer and Kurt gets the win.
Prediction: Kurt Angle defeats James Storm.
Christopher Daniels Vs RVD: I was correct last month when I said this feud would continue but I was also right about RVD becoming stale. I can barely remember the buildup for this match and it feels like a waste. Sure they will put on a good match but I think it’s time for Daniels to move on and do more important things. For RVD I think it’s time he also moves on and out of this company. Here’s hoping I’m right again and the right man wins.
Prediction: Christopher Daniels beats RVD
Mickie James Vs Gail Kim for the Knockouts Title: I can’t help by laugh at people who don’t understand the Knockouts division. Do people not see the storyline? Do they not see why Karen Jarrett is making the knockouts dress in bikinis? Third, why are people complaining about seeing Velvet Sky in a bikini? But even if you can’t understand the storyline, you should at least be able to figure out that Gail Kim has done wonders for the Knockouts division and I’m looking forward to seeing her face my girl Mickie James. Both should be impressive and Mickie will look strong in defeat. The only negative might come from outside interference by Karen or Madison Rayne but I’ll take it over any other women’s division.
Prediction: Gail Kim defeats Mickie James and retains the Knockouts Title.
Pope & Devon Vs Crimson & Morgan for the Tag Titles: Like I said earlier the tag team division is a wreck. Morgan and Crimson don’t deserve the title and Pope/Devon isn’t any better. I can’t wait for Motor City to return but I wonder who they can possibly face to make it seem like a big deal. Is Mexican America going to stick around? Will TNA find more tag teams for when the time comes? They need to do something and quick because it makes their decision to let Generation Me walk looking more and more foolish.
Prediction: Crimson and Morgan win a forgettable match.
Kid Kash Vs Austin Aries for the X-Division Title: 3 out of 5 isn’t bad and with the World and Knockouts division looking good, Austin Aries is the 3rd by making the X-Division title look good again. Over the past few months I’ve explains why I like Aries and if you haven’t figure it out for yourself then you’re a lost cause. It does seem though that this feud happened a little too quickly but I’ll take it. I see Austin winning here and continuing his reign as a great champion.
Prediction: Austin Aries defeats Kid Kash.
Eric Young Vs Robbie E: Another title that I could care less about and I’m hoping that changes soon. I’m glad Robbie E has taken the belt off Young because as much as I like Eric, I just don’t think he did the title any good. My hope is that Robbie wins the match, ditches Young and makes the title a serious belt again with strong competition and perhaps a good feud? It might be asking too much for this title but here’s hoping for the best.
Prediction: Robbie E defeats Eric Young and keeps the TV Title.
